Households use it when one roommate occupies a larger room, couples hosting guests assign double weight to a shared seat, and project teams bill stakeholders by agreed ownership stakes. Unlike an itemized shared-expense splitter that first sums many receipts, this tool starts from a single total you already know and reports each party's exact currency amount so the shares add back to that total. Equal weights produce an equal split; a two-one-one pattern gives the first party half; percentages that add to one hundred map directly onto the bill. Zero-sum weights and percentages that do not add to one hundred are rejected rather than silently invented. The same pure function powers the free browser widget and the API at $0.002 per successful request.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.

Published price — no tokens, no invented credits. A failed task is never charged.
