How is Tylenol overdose risk calculated from dose and weight?
Divide the ingested acetaminophen amount in milligrams by body weight in kilograms. The result, dose_mg_per_kg, is placed on a four-band educational scale: low below 75, possible from 75 up to 150, probable from 150 up to 350, and high at 350 and above. The primary outputs are risk_level and treatment_threshold_exceeded.
When is the treatment threshold exceeded?
treatment_threshold_exceeded is true when dose_mg_per_kg is at least 150, the classic acute-ingestion teaching line. It is false below that line, including in the possible band from 75 up to 150. The response also reports treatment_threshold_mg, which is 150 times this patient's weight in kilograms.
What happens if dose or weight is zero, negative, or missing?
The task fails with invalid_input. Both dose in milligrams and weight in kilograms must be strictly positive finite numbers. Zero, negative, NaN, Infinity, and non-numeric values are rejected and are not billed.
Is this calculator a diagnosis or a substitute for emergency care?
