Advisors, students, and learning apps need a transparent number for out-of-class hours, not a vague warning to study more. This study hours per credit calculator multiplies enrolled credit hours by a configurable study-hours-per-credit ratio—commonly two or three outside hours per credit each week under Carnegie-style rules of thumb—and optionally multiplies that weekly total by the length of the term so you can see the full-semester load. Enter fifteen credits with a two-hour ratio and you get thirty weekly study hours; raise the ratio to three and the same load becomes forty-five. The free browser widget and the API share one pure module, so syllabus planners, LMS banners, and automation scripts never disagree on the arithmetic.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.

Published price — no tokens, no invented credits. A failed task is never charged.

Errors
