Forty-eight hours is two days; twelve hours is half a day; twenty-four hours is one day. People open this page when a shift log, flight block, uptime counter, or homework problem is stored in hours and they need a single day figure using the civil twenty-four-hour day, not an eight-hour workday and not a calendar date difference. Zero hours is valid and yields zero days. Infinity, NaN, or a non-numeric token is rejected with invalid input and is not billed. The same deterministic function powers the free browser widget and the API, so a classroom check and an automation job never disagree on the quotient. There is no network call, no system clock, and no randomness — only divide by twenty-four. Successful API requests cost $0.002.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
