Future value annuity due calculator

The future value of an annuity due answers a compounding question that ordinary-annuity tables get slightly wrong: if the same cash amount is paid at the beginning of every period and compounds at a fixed rate, how much is in the account after a chosen number of periods.

Rent, insurance premiums, lease installments, and many retirement contributions leave the payer on day one of the period, so each deposit earns one extra period of interest compared with an end-of-period ordinary annuity. This future value of annuity due calculator applies the closed-form identity FV equals PMT times the ordinary annuity factor times one plus r, or simply PMT times n when the rate is zero, and returns the rounded future value, the cash actually deposited, the interest earned, and the ordinary-annuity counterpart so the due premium is visible. The same pure module powers the free browser widget and the prepaid API path.
