This ceiling fan size calculator takes your room floor area in square feet and maps it to the same residential sizing bands that manufacturers and home guides publish for small bedrooms, living rooms, and open-plan great rooms. You get a recommended diameter in inches, a practical min–max range for shopping, a room class label, and—when the space is large—a suggested number of fans so one fixture is not asked to cover an entire open floor. The logic is pure and deterministic: the free browser widget and the API path share one module, so a contractor checklist and an e-commerce size tool never disagree on the same square footage. No climate tables, no network calls, and no guesswork—just a clear blade-span recommendation from the area you already measured.
