Treasurers, importers, and households who hold a foreign amount need that difference as a single figure: the exchange impact of the GBP rate change, not a full treasury-system revaluation. This calculator accepts the foreign-currency amount together with the old and new GBP quotes, each quoted as foreign units per one pound, converts the amount into sterling at both rates, and returns the difference. A strictly positive quote is required on both sides; a zero or negative rate is rejected rather than producing an infinite sterling value. The same pure parse logic powers the free browser widget and the API path, so landing-page previews and stored files never disagree.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
