The sixteen-point rose divides a full circle into equal sectors separated by 22.5 degrees, beginning with North at 0 degrees and continuing clockwise. Enter a full English direction name or its familiar abbreviation, and the result identifies the canonical name, abbreviation, point index, and exact bearing. The calculation is deterministic, runs without network access, and does not estimate magnetic declination or choose a nearby direction from arbitrary degrees.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
