For a strong monoprotic acid that fully dissociates, the hydrogen-ion concentration equals the acid concentration C in moles per litre, and pH is defined as the negative base-ten logarithm of that value: pH equals negative log ten of C. Classroom checks you already know include one tenth mole per litre yielding pH one, one mole per litre yielding pH zero, and one thousandth mole per litre yielding pH three. Concentrations above one mole per litre produce negative pH, which is allowed and physically meaningful for concentrated strong acids. The engine uses only finite deterministic arithmetic with no network calls, no sampling, and no date-dependent shortcuts.
