Hexadecimal is the everyday compact form for machine values: each hex digit packs four bits, so two hundred fifty-five becomes ff, sixteen becomes ten in hex, and zero stays zero. The engine is fully deterministic: it peels remainders of sixteen from the magnitude, maps each remainder to a digit from zero through nine and a through f, never calls the network, never samples randomness, and never depends on the clock. Negative integers keep a leading minus in front of the hex of their absolute value so the mapping stays readable for worksheets and logs. The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
